July, 2003 to present: winner of a fellowship entitled “ Isolation, expansion and characterization of Human Stem Cells for their use in transplantation and tissue repair in neurodegenerative disease. This research took place in Prof Vincenzo Silani Laboratory of Neuroscience at ISTITUO AUXOLOGICO of Milan and it was supported by The Italian Ministry of Health (Stem 2001).In particular some of the main interest of the Laboratory are:
- the neuro-glial differentiation of Human bone marrow and Cord Blood Stem Cells and Amniotic Fluid Cells “in vivo” and “in vitro”
- the effects of some antidepressive drugs on neural differentiation and survival and proliferation of Stem Cells “in vitro”.
September, 2000-June, 2003 :professional training at Immunohaematology and Transfusional Service, “L.Sacco” Hospital, Milan. The research was coordinated by Prof. Rossi and Dr. Lattuada and it was focused on Von Willebrand factor (VWF) and its protease, ADAMTS 13, two central coagulation proteins, in different haematopoietic pathologies. We analyzed the quality and quality of the VWF by immunoassays (ELISA, automatic immunoassays, immunoblotting);the activity and quality of ADAMTS 13 by immunoassay (ELISA) an sequencing.
Contemporaneously the Laboratory was involved in the setting up of some automatic standardized biochemical immunoassays in order to measure ADAMTS13’s activity and to analyse the VWF multimeris patterns. |
